About the Location
Onar Suites & Villas is located in the popular region of Karavostasis. It is just about 200 meters from the island’s port, which presents the perfect opportunity for you to treat yourselves to boat excursions to the Folegandros’ beaches. Furthermore, the hotel lies a mere 50 meters away from the beautiful beach of Vardia, only 80 meters from the beach of Hohlidia, and in close proximity to several other noteworthy beaches, such as Latinaki, Vitsentzou, Pountaki, and Livadi.
The town of the island – better known as ‘Chora’- is around 3 km away. Marvel at the whitewashed houses and scenic alleys, until you reach Kastro, the old section of Chora, which is a medieval settlement that offers its visitors a journey through time. If you’re a sea lover, taking one of the small traditional boats offered on the coast will help you get around the most isolated and peaceful beaches of Folegandros that are not accessible by the road, such as the beaches of Katergo or Livadaki. What’s more, the island has a variety of hiking opportunities, as it boasts slopes & hills that are full of stone paths that lead to some of the most precious natural treasures of the island.
Taste the riches of Greek cuisine through dishes made with top-quality ingredients in ‘Kalymnios Restaurant’, ‘Agkali’, and ‘Sinadisi’. ‘Papalagi Seafood’ is also an incredible fish tavern you should make a point to visit. Although Folegandros is not known for its vibrant nightlife, there a few options for a relaxed drink. ‘Ammoudaki’, ‘Wine Bar Merkouri’, ‘Breeze’, and ‘BaRaki’, are all excellent choices that will make your nights on the island memorable and fun.
