From extravagance to tranquillity: Athens, Folegandros & Santorini

As soon as you land at Athens International airport, your private driver will warmly greet you and transport you to your accommodation for a quick fresh-up. Walk around the city center alongside your partner, before heading to a local tavern for a luscious welcome dinner full of authentic Greek flavors. 

On day 2, see the ancient city of Athens in all its splendor on a 7-hour tour. Together with your expert, licensed guide, admire the city’s major monuments and learn about its history and culture. Visit the majestic Acropolis and the impressive Acropolis Museum, see the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first modern Olympic Games were held, and explore Athens’ highlights, such as Syntagma and Monastiraki square. 

The next day, you’ll depart from Athens and be transferred to the port of Piraeus to catch a ferry to the beautiful island of Folegandros. Once you reach your destination, your private driver will take you to your hotel, where you’ll have the rest of the day free to yourselves

On the fourth day, enjoy an island tour with your private local guide who will show you around the highlights of the island: the church of Panagia, where you’ll get to admire the panoramic view, and the main village of the island, ‘Kastro’ or castle. Come in contact with the local community and learn about the traditional way of life by visiting a folklore museum and a traditional grocery. End your tour tasting local flavors by a Greek grandma who’ll cook just for you.

The following day is free for you to enjoy in whichever way you and your significant other prefer. You might want to revisit some of the places you have already seen or you might prefer to explore some of the island’s best beaches.

The next day, it is time to leave the picturesque island of Folegandros and move to Santorini, the star of the Cyclades. Let your driver take you to the port and catch the ferry to Santorini, where you will spend the rest of your day at your own leisure.

On the 7th day of your trip, set on an extraordinary private tour around the island along with your local guide. Succumb to the island’s charm while at the iconic ‘caldera’, learn about its history by visiting the Akrotiri excavations and wander in the narrow streets of Oia discovering its beauty. Alternatively, you can choose to indulge in a wine adventure to three of the most well-known wineries on the island, tasting a selection of 12 different wines and taking in the spectacular landscapes. 

Day 8 is free to spend according to your liking. Santorini is known as a couple’s paradise due to the magical sunsets it offers and the heart-stopping views out to the Aegean from the famous caldera. Apart from that, the island is also famous for the striking black and red sand beaches, the delicious cuisine, and the local bars and clubs that keep the nightlife of Santorini alive.

The penultimate day of your honeymoon trip, you’ll have the luxury of embarking on a semi-private sailing trip along the caldera cliffs. Spend 5 hours onboard enjoying the shimmering Aegean sea, stopping at the warm springs, the Red and White beaches for a swim, and savoring a delicious meal full of local delicacies prepared by the hospitable crew. 

On day 10, it’s time for this magical honeymoon trip to come to an end. After you reach Santorini airport, catch your flight back to Athens and return back home full of memories and experiences that you’ll remember for the rest of your lives.
